Arguably one of the worst parts of when a risk goes E&S is the amount of forms that you have to fill out. You’ve already filled out an ACORD, and a few applications, and now you have to fill out even more for each market your wholesaler is working with, with the same information, over and over again. On top of that, you’re fielding a slew of emails, forwarded to you by your wholesaler, from multiple underwriters - that is, if they even respond to your emails.
It’s unacceptable to expect anyone to type out the same information over and over. That’s why when you’re filling out our address to order something online, there is always the option to autofill.
The very first insurance problem we decided to solve with software to make it so we could take in information that had already been filled out in other places. Why not use the ACORD that agencies have already filled out by the time a risk goes E&S?
