Pathpoint, the insurance industry’s first self-service E&S technology platform, today announced the appointment of Melissa Chi to the position of Head of Product.
Chi comes to Pathpoint from Stord where, as the Director of Product, she built out the strategic direction of the product team, taking it from a small overflow platform to a large, cloud-based supply chain platform. She will oversee a similar evolution in her new role, expanding the capabilities and functionality of Pathpoint’s product-centric technology platform.
“Melissa has the vision and experience to help our team continue to innovate and dramatically improve the way E&S business is conducted,” said Alex Bargmann, Pathpoint’s CEO and co-founder. “Pathpoint is changing the way agents and carriers transact E&S business. Melissa will be critical in accelerating this transformation.”
Pathpoint recently announced the launch of a new feature that automatically generates pre-filled ACORD forms, saving agents significant time and streamlining the quoting process for customers. Under Chi’s leadership, the product team will explore additional opportunities to develop products and features that simplify processes and expand the breadth and depth of E&S products available through Pathpoint.

Chi’s technology and startup background also includes experience as Product Manager at SigFig and Product Manager & Capital Markets at Earnest. She holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern and a BS in Business and Political Science from the University of Florida.
